Seethawaka Botanical Garden

 Seethawaka Botanical Garden is situated in the Colombo district. It is very close to awisswella.we have turn from the puwakpitiya station to reach this garden easily. It is located in ilukavita on the puwakpitiya Thummodara main road.

It is in 105 acres in extent .It has a calm and quiet  environment with beautiful natural surroundings. It has a cool temperate climate. It has a beautiful stream flows through the garden. We can go on boat rides .There are various species of plants with economic, aesthetic and ecological value.Many kumbuk/ marodhamaram trees are found In the garden.

There is s nicely arranged path directs you to the summit of the park. It is opening hours from 8.00 to 5.00 p.m .It is an ideal place for a wonderful day out.

The construction of the garden commenced in the 2008.It was opened to the public in October, 2014.This park was established this park conserve threatened wet,endemic plans for future generations.
